Tonight with dinner I made an easy summer salad that I have been making on repeat all summer. You can whip up a big plate and enjoy it as a meal or you can make small bowl and have it a side dish. I like to make it in bulk and keep it in the fridge for anytime I am feeling snacky. Ingredients for An Easy Summer Salad are from Milk And Eggs. I have still been at home recovering, so one of my favorite things to do with Lila is picnic in the front yard. She loves it because she loves to be outside and I love it because I feel like we are doing something without having to leave home. She gets so excited for our picnics and will choose random things that she wants to bring outside. I always let her fill a basket with fruit from the fridge because what’s the harm in that, right? She will usually eat the apple out of all the fruit she brings out because cantaloupe, mango, and orange all require preparation. My favorite guilt free afternoon snack that makes it to our picnic has to be Harvest Snaps.
If you haven’t tried Harvest Snaps you are seriously missing out. Harvest Snaps are made from real, all-natural peas. They have tons of protein and low fat and sodium. I have been eating them for years and my favorite part is that I have no guilt about snacking on them. Lila and my husband love them almost as much as me, so I always have a snack bag full of them in my diaper bag. They are perfect to take on the go and easy to eat in the car for long drives.
There are also eight different flavors, each better than the last. So you can still switch things up with a new flavor here and there. My favorite flavor is the light salted, because I think they are perfect. I’ll switch things up with tomato basil or mango chile lime. They are also gluten free and dairy free, so that’s a win!
I hope everyone had a great long weekend with family. If you are looking for a delicious, healthy snack for at home or on the go, you can find Harvest Snaps near the produce section almost anywhere. Happy Snacking!

Cottage Playhouse // Dress // Capri Leggings
Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite new additions to Lila’s playroom. This courtyard cottage is the perfect size for a toddler and even has a working doorbell. Lila loves to ring the doorbell and it is so realistic that sometimes I get confused and have to double check that no one is at the door!
I keep a little basket of small toys for her toy play with and sometimes I’ll come in and find her playing quietly. It totally reminds me of when I was little and building a fort in my room. The color is girlie without being too bright and colorful. When summer gets closer we are going to move it into the backyard but for now it’s secret hideaway inside.
I had a playhouse similar to this when I was a kid and I think it is so cool that when she grows up she will have memories playing in one too.
What are your summer must haves for the backyard?

With the end of the month slowly creeping up on us I wanted to make sure we made it to a pumpkin patch the second we were both healthy enough to enjoy ourselves. Funny enough it ended up being the hottest day of the week, a scorching 100 degree day.
We covered the wheel barrow with our Gathre mat and I am so glad we thought to bring it because the wheel barrows were so hot from the sun. We love about keeping our mat in the car, because it always comes in handy in so many different ways. The mat is also waterproof so if you lay it on wet grass the water doesn’t slip through. I can’t tell you how may times this has saved picnic time at the park.
Lila had so much fun in the wheel barrow mixed in with all the pumpkins. As we walked through the rows she kept chirping, “more pumpkin!” It was so cute to see her excited and also blending in with all the pumpkins. After picking our pumpkins we enjoyed some of the games and activities. Her favorite was what I call ‘toddler town’ which was basically just a whole bunch of plastic playhouses, slides, and play kitchens. She was the only kid in there for about 20 minutes and she couldn’t have been happier about it.
Has anyone else made it to a pumpkin patch?
