Today I wanted to share with you an update on Lila’s Montessori closet. Since October is creeping up on us I decided to swap out some of her blush pieces for a few pieces that are a bit more, fall. I love pumpkin colors on Lila! I wanted to get a few key pieces that would work paired with pieces she already has in her closet as well as on their own.
Since it probably won’t get cold here in Los Angeles until later this year, I decided to get her a few rompers and dresses that she could wear on a warm day but could easily pair with tights and a sweater if it gets cold. The amber skirt leotard with long sleeves is Lila’s favorite piece on her rack and she wants to wear it everyday. We also got these Mini Melissa shoes that I am really excited about! What are some of your fall favorites?

Today I am sharing with you one of Lila’s new favorite snacks… popsicles! I found these super natural and super delicious Squeaky Pops that are only 50 calories and perfect for kids. Even the packaging is fun and Lila yells out a big “Yay!” each time the freezer opens. It’s been the perfect afternoon treat for playing in the backyard or playing inside. Plus I am pretty sure I could never eat enough popsicles so I enjoy them with her.
Since it has been raining off and on this week we have playing indoors a lot. These stuffed animals from Mary Meyer have been a favorite of Lila’s lately. They are so soft and so small, making them easy to tote around. I let her pick one to take with us out and about because they are a good size to carry around. I love running them against her cheek and tickling her with them while I’m holding her. She thinks it’s hilarious!
I can’t wait for the rain to stop and for spring to finally be in full effect. I see a lot of water play and beach days in our future! Thanks for reading.

As most of you know if you follow me on Instagram, my husband started a new job last week. We are a one car family and Jake having a job an hour away really made it hard for Lila and I to get around town. We made it work but we knew eventually we were going to have to get a second car or Jake was going to have get a job closer to home.
An amazing opportunity came up for him to work just a few minutes away from home and it has been such a blessing so far. We now drop him off and pick him up from work, which leaves us with the car all day. It has worked out flawlessly so far and we get an extra three hours a day with him. You read that right, an extra THREE hours a day with him. Before his commute was an hour each way, and he would leave an extra 45 minutes early in the morning to pick up breakfast and find a parking spot. Then on his way home, traffic would make his drive take an extra 10-15 minutes longer.
Besides having all this extra time with Jake, which has put us over the moon with happiness, we also get to explore more of our city. We have made a point to keep active and explore everyday even if it’s just going to get a smoothie or going to a park.
I hope everyone is having a great afternoon!
